Greetings friends, family, strangers, and stalkers. Welcome to my little piece of virtual real estate. My name is Airie. Yep, that’s right, Airie. My mom is to blame for that. I’m a thirty fill-in-the-blank year old business professional seeking the simple life. The goal here is neither to brag nor boast about my most amazing future travels, but to share them with you and hopefully inspire you to step foot in exactly the same places I have. To swing in the same hammocks I do, to swim with the same animals I do (oink oink), and to hike on the same trails I do. If I didn’t feel it was worth sharing with the world, then I wouldn’t share it. I will provide all of the information, locations, products used, places visited, and people I’ve met that I possibly can on this site so your trip is just as life changing as it (is)was for me.
I recently read the most fantastic book called “You are a Badass” by Jen Sincero, and a quote from it resonates with me….”Our thoughts become our words, our words become our beliefs, our beliefs become our actions, our actions become our habits, and our habits become our realities.” It’s a little law-of-attraction-ish but I’m down with it and I am convinced that if I just BELIEVE I will live the life I want, I will GET the life I want. There’s a whole lotta magic that happens in between but that part is up to each of us to master.
I am not an adrenaline junkie seeking thrilling and death defying vacations. Rather, I prefer to simply explore, observe, and experience other nooks and crannies of this post-Pangea mass. I created this site to track my travels (some solo) and share the beauty this world has to offer. In between jobs and on weekends, I strive to get out for a hike in the Rocky Mountains, swim with the pigs in Exuma, or frolic on the beach in Florida. I invite you to follow my travels and I hope to inspire you to get out of the house and experience every inch this Earth has to offer (as funds allow). We only live once so let’s make the most of it. Enjoy and own the day.
